Self-Actualization Values of Students of a Junior College of Nursing

Abstract

|
To provide data for planning student guidance programs 1164 freshman and sophomore students Holy Spirit Junior College of Nursing were questioned in October 1984.
130 item questionaire composed of 10 factors, standardized by Kim and Lee (1977) were used to measured the level of self-actualization.
Results are as follows;
1. Level of self-Actualization according to the 10 factors revealed to be within normal range
2. No significant difference was revealed between the freshman group and the sophomore
3. No significant difference.was revealed between group with religion and without religion.
4. Among the 10 factors of self-actualization components significant difference was revealed only in Self Actualization .Value (SAV) component the T score was revealed to be highest in the group "highly satisfied with nursing profession" (p<.01).
